I recently spent a month in Tokyo as part of an artist residency. This photographic series was born from that experience and reflects my impressions during that time—a series of sensory postcards.
The light filtering through the trees, the softness of textures, the delicious food, the contrasts, the silence, the flowers, the moss-covered stone paths, the little kids walking home from school alone.
The kindness of people, the slow pace, the most incredible broths, the sushi with warm rice and cold fish, the sake, the desserts displayed like jewels.
The subway music before the doors close, the sound of people sipping soup, the green tea with chocolate cookies, the transparent umbrellas.
The girls with impeccable hair, the warm towels in restaurants, the vending machines glowing at night, the small shrines in unexpected corners, the sound of sliding doors.
The tiny details that make everything feel intentional.
Thank you to PARADISE AIR for the invitation.
